Pilgrim Homes - Content Management System

Pilgrim Homes is a residential care and sheltered housing organisation. They are a Christian charity founded over 200 years ago. The organisation owns and runs care homes throughout the United Kingdom and has an impecible reputation for its quality of care.

Fisher Solutions took responsibility for the Pilgrim Homes website back in 2007 and immediately began making small improvements to the backend Lotus Notes database.

Towards the end of 2008 we were commissioned to give the graphic design and layout of the site a complete overhaul. While new content and features were added during this process, the majority of the website content has remained untouched by the overhaul - simply being transferred over to the new layout without Pilgrim Homes admin staff having to make time consuming changes.

The website features a small 'message board' and has the ability for visitors to leave comments against the many news articles. Pilgrim Homes have control over what articles or pages can be commented upon and they also approve each comment before it appears on the site. The can also post highlighted replies to comments via the database if required.

The Lotus Notes database allows Pilgrim Homes staff to upload any kind of content they need: Information Articles, News, Home Information, Publication, Job Vacancies and more. Each is displayed in a different and appropriate way on the website.
